Pretty slow but great and intriguing first act. I can recognize some of the references to Lovecraft but not all. While I find the journal entries interesting at the end of each chapter I think they do mess with the pacing a bit, but the insight makes up for it. Interested to see where it goes, it was a smart first entry.
