Danny the Champion of the World by Roald Dahl

3.0

3.5 stars. A very cute story. Rather British with the Sargeant and his silly accent (dropping "h"'s on some words and adding "h"'s on others).

The relationship between Danny and his father is a joy, as is Dahl's advice to children at the end to not become a stodgy parent... HAVE A SPARK.

Danny's idea is a clever one in this book and I really like how adults celebrated him as The Champion of the World. Of poaching.
