The Icarus Deception: How High Will You Fly? by Seth Godin
2.0
This book would have made a great chapter in a book.
Let me explain. The first third or so of the book is not bad. The ideas the book present in the beginning are inspiring and will get you excited. The problem with the book is that it offers nothing beyond those original ideas.
The book is split into 'sections' but it feels like the author basically reiterates his points over and over again without adding much. The different sections read almost like a collection of blog posts.
That's why I think that this whole book could've been condensed into one chapter in a bigger, more useful book.
As it is right now, I'm having a hard time recommending this to anyone. Save your money and time and just read a summary of the book somewhere. Even better read a summary of the first part of the book since it's the same points being made throughout the whole thing.
