I have marked this as read but I really don't remember reading it before so whether or not this was the first time it felt like it for me. This book was SO FUNNY, I was snorting and gwaffing throughout at the ridiculous things Bridget and the other characters said and the situations she got herself into.

I was a bit worried when I started about the obsession with weight and food restriction but I actually think this was almost a satire of how women thought about food in the 90s because of the media they were consuming. We are not supposed to think that Bridget is fat (she isn't) and neither do those around her. Regardless, I think this book would be triggering to someone with a history of disordered eating. I am glad that I am in my 30s now and not in the 90s!
