She's under my skin. I want her out. But I don't want her to ever feel like she's small. I don't want her to ever feel as if she's beneath anyone. Aria Reed deserves to sit upon the highest fucking pedestal.

Okay, so I really liked the dynamics between Leo & Aria in the beginning. They truly disliked each other but secretly yearned to stay near each other and I was loving all the taunts and jabs they threw. The chemistry between them was undeniable too but I was not a fan when this dynamic continued until the very last chapters of the book. There was so much push and pull between them that I was completely fed up. The pacing of the plot was fast but because of this conflict, it felt so slow. Like the story wasn't going forward, it was just stuck. I was expecting a lot from this book since it's exactly the same situation as "From Lukov With Love" and I loved that book but this one was a disappointment tbh. Also, because of the way this book was written, I could understand Leo more than Aria. I understood that she had some anxiety issues (which I have myself too) but she was so unreasonable. She gave Leo mixed signals and then went on to get dinner with the OM (whom Leo had warned her about). I just couldn't understand her and I didn't blame Leo for being closed off. Still, Leo was also holding a grudge since highschool and should've communicated better with her and was a commitment phobe too but when he was pushed, he immediately realised his feelings. Both of them were equally at fault but I couldn't help but be pissed off by Aria's behaviour. The very first time, Leo left her like that in the prologue, I felt like she should've developed some self respect but as I said, she kept giving him mixed signals which I did not like. The only things I liked in this book were the first few chapters and Aria's brother Austin. He was awesome and I liked his meddling lol! Other than that, some parts of this book failed to impress me and I was expecting a lot more, ngl.
