This is right in the middle of OK for me. I absolutely STRUGGLED through the first 40-50% of this. For the entire first half, these people are horrible - not just to each other, but to everyone. I really don't think you could convince me that the women in the first half of the book are friends in any capacity. Not even polite acquaintances. And the writing/storytelling felt very choppy. Honestly, if it was only the second half of the book, I would have enjoyed it much more. It's like the author absolutely knew how she wanted the book to end, but struggled with how to start. As far as the humor, I found some well phrased one-liners I enjoyed, but this book leans much more toward dark subject matter and black humor rather than comedy.
Moderate: Alcoholism, Domestic abuse, Rape, Murder, Classism
