What an absolute whirlwind. Lisa Jewell is really good at writing characters I fervently dislike! She really captures a creepy, unsettling feeling throughout this whole book and it kept me hooked. It was like a bad train wreck and as much as I knew I shouldn’t look at the carnage, it was all I wanted to see. Also, highly recommend listening to the audiobook. It’s an impressive production, quality voice acting, and overall very entertaining. I’m holding back on a 5 star just because there were very, very dark themes that I had trouble stomaching and thought were a bit overkill.
