Ivory White by Cambria Hebert

Ok, I really enjoyed this one. Kind of picked it up on a whim this morning and couldn’t stop until I finished the book just now. The book is a retelling of Snow White. I liked that the book was a “new” story but included elements that easily tied it back to the original Snow White. Knowing that this was an MF romance, I was hoping for a why choose type of sitch, but alas it wasn’t (I mean, could you imagine?!) Given that it wasn’t an RH, I still really enjoyed the book.

Although the book isn’t a rom-com, it did remind me a bit of “It Happened One Summer.” In both you have a famous socialite that goes MIA (the h) and a rugged fisherman as the H. I liked that the book had an element of suspense and there was a twist at the end that I didn’t see coming! As for the spice, there’s a couple good spicy scenes, though it doesn’t happen until later in the book.

I really want to read the rest of the series! In Ivory White, you’re introduced to all of the characters who will have their own book in the series. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to after I get some ARC and book club reads out of the way!
