As I mentioned in my review for Volume 1, the story, though packed with some incredibly fun and intriguing concepts, feels kind of disjointed and rushed in spots, which spoils a total enjoyment. Some ideas, such as Namor waging war on the surface world, feel stale. Aquaman and Justice League covered this story a couple years ago. The emerging vampire wars plot with Blade has a lot of possibility, but looks not to take off till Volume 3. The stuff with Black Panther gathering his own side team (the "Agents of Wakanda"--an odd choice of name given that this version of the Avengers is ostensibly trying to form some kind of world force) seems like a whole other book. Again, great concepts, but uneven and not as smoothly executed as Aaron's other work.
