Overall I liked how the series ended. the only thing that bothers me a bit is the love-triangle, though I sort of liked how it turned out.
I just think that, through all the books you could never tell who Dru would end up- much as it was vague, in a certain way you were the one who decided who she favoured, which was influenced by which guy we liked better.
For me, the end was just as vague- from one point view she had obviously made her choice, but from the other there were clear signs of hope.
so which is the right one? maybe none, maybe both. I believe the author didn't want to put that pressure on Dru, of having to choose between Graves and Christophe after everything they'd been through. Or she just didn't that pressure on herself, we'll never know.
