I have not read an Outlander book in almost NINE years.
This may be an unpopular opinion, but this book could have used some major editing. The religious passages - pages of them bothered me. There were way too many characters and it was hard to keep track of all of them. I would have rather had fewer characters that had bigger backstories.
I really do think that this book is to set up the tenth and final book.
Maybe I am wrong, but this book did not hold up to some of the other books OR maybe I am jaded by the length of time since I last read a book in this series. Apparently, Book 10 will be a while until published as it will be another large book.
