The Confusions of Young Törless by Robert Musil

4.0

I read this for my Democracy and Education class and everyone was shitting on it and being like "why did our professor made us read this" but i lowkey really liked it... I mean a majority of this book is highly disturbing (tw: abuse, torture) so I understand that it is not everyone's cup of tea. But I found the form of the writing to be super beautiful and it gets really philosophical/spiritual at certain points in a way that I felt I had never heard described before but really hit at the truth of life!!!!!

Since I read this for class I didn't have that much time so I read it like sooooo fast so it's hard to say for sure how much I enjoyed bc i think it would have been more without the pressure. But overall I am super glad I read this. So interesting
