While I believe this book is intended for new readers who are unfamiliar with the Lumberjanes series, I found it enjoyable as someone who has read all the other Lumberjanes material. The first half does a lot to inform the reader about the characters and setting, which can feel slow if you’re already familiar with those things. However, I loved how much depth was brought to the characters I knew through the prose format; being able to read the characters’ internal dialogue and motivations was very interesting. Overall, I’m excited for the next books in the series!
