This fit the bill for a short, easy read, that I wanted at the time. The illustrations were beautiful, and I liked that it wasn't a familiar fairytale. I don't particularly enjoy the pacing of these kinds of stories, but I found the ending surprisingly emotional given that I didn't think I was particularly invested in the characters.
