First Comes Love by Emily Giffin

4.0

Overall, this novel was a heartwarming story. This story is about family, grief, regret, guilt and most of all the tumultuous relationship siblings have. There were also many themes in this book. The story unfolds slowly, so it did take a while for me to get into, but once the pieces start fitting in the puzzle, I quickly got into it. I really enjoyed how Giffin has the story told in to points of views - of both sisters. It was interesting to see how both sisters got annoyed easily with the other, but how they both needed each other. I did feel there wasn't any change between the two main characters, which left the ending flat for me. I also did not like how Will was brought up so many times by Josie, and she didn't tell him what really happened when she had the chance to.
