Review of “Look In The Mirror”

⭐⭐☆☆☆ [1.5 Rounded Up] (Rating System Below)

Look In The Mirror by Catherine Steadman started off with an intriguing premise, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite deliver for me. The story had potential, with Nina discovering a mysterious property and Maria navigating her strange nanny job, but the pacing felt off. It dragged in places, and then suddenly shifted gears, leaving me feeling disoriented.

The switch in POV halfway through totally threw me out of the read. It was hard to stay invested after that.

I was also disappointed with how additional POVs were introduced later on. Initially, I expected the story to revolve around Nina and Maria, but additional characters were introduced as the plot unfolded, which seemed like a cheat storytelling tactic. Overall, while the concept was interesting, the execution fell flat, and I wouldn’t recommend it.
