I cannot get behind this story. Sensationalizing suicide is unfortunately not uncommon, but that doesn’t make it acceptable. Although there were aspects of Evan’s and Connor’s characters that speak to the complexity of becoming a young adult and mental health struggles, the storyline left an icky feeling that ruined the whole experience.
