The Skeletons of Scarborough House by Josie Silver, Kitty French

5.0

I really hope that this book becomes a series, like it is intended. If it does, I will be seeking out all future Melody Bittersweet books. I can't get enough!

In June of this year, I finished binge watching "The Ghost Whisperer" and this book reminded me so much of that show. Melody Bittersweet is a fun, down-to-earth girl with one quirk she shares with the women in her family (mom and grandmother) - she can see ghosts. Her mom and grandma help the ghosts communicate with the living, but Melody decides that she wants to open her own business to help the ghosts move on to the afterlife. With the help of some friends, and a run in with some eye candy, Melody starts her business off with a ghost...or three!

This was a cute, quick read that I really enjoyed. I found myself laughing along with Melody's antics and rooting for them, all the while wondering what happened in the life of all of the ghosts that kept them grounded to Earth. I can't wait for the next one!

I received this e-book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
