The Flatshare by Beth O'Leary

3.0

For me, this book went from a 2 to a 5 and back again so it’s only fair to rate it a 3. There were many aspects I liked, most of the characters, how unique the story was and the sweetness between Leon and Tiffy. However, I found this story insanely long, wayyyy too long. Also I honestly hated the Justin storyline, I understood it was necessary for the two mains and their journey but it sucked. At times it felt like a lot was going on, but we were always just stuck in repetitive thoughts. The way Leon was written drove me insane, that shorthand. In the end, the characters were lovely and supportive, Tiffy was a bit too quirky, I often find myself annoyed when the author purposely makes the main character quirky. I’m not sure if I totally felt their connection from the beginning but I liked it in the end even though it was SO predictable. I don’t understand all the hype around this book, I enjoyed The Switch so much more.
