After talking with Karyn, I decided that maybe I should actually write something about the books I read from time to time, rather than simply rate them. This book reminded me of one of my childhood favorites, [b:Summer of My German Soldier|18580|Summer of My German Soldier (Summer of My German Soldier, #1)|Bette Greene|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1166975959s/18580.jpg|816350]. I loved how in Annabelle's head the book was and that no explanation was given or really even sought for Betty's behavior.
