The Dark Hours by Michael Connelly

3.0

Road trip audiobook. Really enjoyed this book until the final 25%. Then Renee made some decisions and moves that made no sense at all. Really like that Harry Bosch is a part of this series. Having Titus Welliver read the Harry parts was a real plus. He is so good. His parts didn’t sound at all like he was reading, He was the part. Renee is no longer living out of her car or tent on the beach. She is now in a condo. She is still on the late shift since she likes being alone. Two cases happen during her shift that she remains involved with, the Midnight men, (team of rapist) and the death of a former gang member gone straight on NYE who was shot in the head during fireworks celebration. The murder turns out to be associated with an unsolved case Harry had worked years earlier, same gun. This brings Harry in to help Renee. Renee is not in good standing with her LT or Captain and some of the praise/scolding yoyo by them is frustrating. Over all it was a good listen and I can overlook that only a small portion of the book went rogue. Michael Connelly is usually a good bet.
