Jasper is a sweetheart and you can’t hjelp but to feel for him. A big man with at times crippling anxiety is bound to tug at some heartstrings. I like Sloane. I like her humor.
But I feel like something is missing from this story, or maybe there was too much. For probably 70% of this book almost every chapter starts the same way. An inner monologue telling us how good looking the other is and that they can’t possibly feel the same. The repetitive writing pulls me out of the story and makes this book feel long, even though it’s easy reading. And I don’t connect as much emotionally. Which is a shame because it is actually a good story.
