How do I write a review on such depraved madness? How do I bring myself to admit that I loved every word? This book ate!

Honestly, though, this book is rather dark. The majority of the spice is coerced. Not violent r*pe but close enough for me to be questioning my morals in reading this book. Enjoying it after being forced into it is NOT ok! I would never condone it. And yet, the author still has a way of making it feel loving and confusing. Much like stockholm syndrome.

I love the grit Adeline possesses. She fights with every breath she has. She may be confused about her feelings, but she is not afraid. She doesn't just take anything. She is a warrior despite her anxiety, fears, and trepidations.

Zade.... I'm not sure how anyone sees him as book boyfriend. Sure, he is doing amazing things for the world, taking down ped*philes one ring at a time, but he is awful as a romantic partner. he is fully aware he is causing as much trauma to Addy as the men are to the women and children he saves. He is no better than the people he murders other that Adeline is an adult.

The storyline is submerging. It's hard not to fall into it and fall fast. I was hooked basically from the first page. I read the whole thing in a day and then called home to make sure the next book in the series had arrived. (This one ends on a serious cliff hanger!)

I'm forever thankful I read Satan's Affair first. There is no way I would have enjoyed it as much if I had read it after this book. I would have already known the plot twist and big reveal beforehand.

The spice is not as rampant as I thought it would be going into it. The L.O.R.D.S series by Shantel Tessier is definitely spicier. The s*x wasn't even as deranged as I had assumed. Kinda tame if you compare it to the likes of Little Stranger. The fact that the majority of it is dubious consent is what makes it depraved. (All s*xual activities do take place between the Mmc and the Hmc.)(Honestly, call a Spade a Spade. This is basically r*ape)
