This is now one of my favourite books that I have ever read in my entire life
A story about feeling nothing and feeling everything, screaming and silence, loneliness and love, friendship and falling. The rollercoaster of human emotions, the complexity and confusion of them, on full display, showcasing perception and individual experiences and what it’s like to be different to your neighbour. Told through short little chapters and through the cracks in between old books stacked beside each other on a bookstore shelf, this book had me gripped from the very beginning, cracked my heart wide open and stitched it together again with fraying thread, and I think I’ll be excitedly trying to convince people to read it for a very long time
TW: death (descriptions of death, death of family members), violence, disability slurs (brief)
5/5, 5/5, 5/5!!!
