Scythe
by Neal Shusterman
Fast paced. 435 pages flew by. Loved the difference in ideology between the two master scythes and the question that come up- what does it evenean to be human, does anything matter once we rid ourselves of death. More surface level philosophy, never a deep dive. Prioritizes the plot.
Felt the romance was tacked on and unnecessary. Would have felt more genuine as friendship. YA novels gotta YA.
