What a conclusion to a series!!
Just like the second book it was filled with action and pain and I absolutely love it. Although I was very frustrated with Ash in the beginning of this book I’m so glad that I pulled through and found out why he was behaving like that.
It was very very frustrating to see him completely ignore how Lonan was handling the seelie land and dismissed all the warning signs from everywhere yet paranoid about every other things. At first I thought that was kind of out of character, and it turned out to be true, he wasn’t exactly himself after he inherited the power from the Brid.

It was satisfying to see the Carlin meets her gruesome end.
After reading the stories of Faulis, Lonan’s father, I was absolutely raging. Poor Sloga. He won’t even get to meet Faulis again because he’ll never leave for the afterlife ;-;

However I’m not sure how I feel about the ‘punishments’ of the three brothers. I do think that because we only mainly see what evil Balor was up to, it was kind of hard for me to justify
the punishment that Bres and Cethlen got at the end. Isn’t it taking a step too far taking away a blind man’s dog? I don’t know. It was never really explained if the hellhound was acting as Cethlen’s guide dog or not, but even if the dog is just a pet, what did the dog do to deserve this? Did I miss something? I also find it weird that the hellhound didn’t have any loyalty whatsoever, it seems completely fine with being forced away from his owner. Perhaps Cethlen didn’t treat it well. I wouldn’t know.

All in all, I’m very happy that our boys get to be as content and loving as they are now. They’re now both kings. So proud of what they have managed to achieve. Oak king and Holly king <3 Also Lonan
shifting into a dragon to find Ash??
Legit king behavior. He’s no longer the sopping wet cat but I still love seeing him all desperate haha.
