Wish You Were Here by Renée Carlino

5.0

I've always been a sucker for sad and tragic love stories. I've always find tragic stories better than usual HEA. I am not saying that this book ended tragically. In fact, it was absolutely beautiful, I even gave it 5 stars. I cannot wave off the fact that I did sob uncontrollably while reading this. And any book that makes me cry always gets higher GR ratings.

I've always said that I hated insta-love. Well, I can let this one go. We could say that things with Adam and Charlotte has been too fast, with all this instant connection and attraction. But hell, I loved it. Adam doesn't really have the gift of time. *sobs*

I loved the fact that I can relate so much with Charlotte. The way she was living her life without a path. Going through it day by day. Always doing what is safe and not taking enough risks. Existing but not exactly living. Then he met Adam, who changed her life forever. Adam was dying and he was living the few of his remaining life. The last few days of his life being married with Charlotte and recreating the memories they have imagined on his loft was a sob fest. I was bawling my eyes out tbh. Then he died peacefully in her arms. He was gone but he have breathed a new life on Charlotte.

Seth. Oh, Seth. There are always books that has annoying love triangles and the first thing you unconsciously do is to pick a team. Well, it's the first time that I haven't chosen. I was never conflicted if it's Team Adam or Team Seth. Unlike with Adam, Seth and Charlotte's love was slow burning. It was there but it wasn't rushed. I love Seth and I love how selfless he was. How patient and understanding he has been with Charlotte. I love how they ended up together in the end. Both of them deserved each other.

This is the first book of Carlino that I rated 5 stars. Renee Carlino is an absolutely good writer of the romance genre. She has been my go-to romance author along with Colleen Hoover and Brittainy Cherry. Although her last two books did not do that well for me. This one moved me so much. My love for her just tripled.

THIS IS A MUST READ Y'ALL!!!!
