Rin Chupeco put out another banger.
The world-building is amazing, and the characters as well. I loved the contrast between the different POVs like they were night and day (literally).
With Lan and Odessa's journey being just as dark as their half of the world, with an Odessa corruption arc that was just chef's kiss. Arjun and Haidee's journey on the other end was just.. fun? There was danger ofc, but still it was an enjoyable journey!
Chupeco has the fantasy genre by its neck, they never miss!
(I docked a star mostly because I didn't find myself that invested in the romance aspect)
