Single girls unite!! That will make a lot more sense if you read the last chapter of the book, I won’t give any spoilers on that but I definitely saw some of myself in that chapter/the main woman character, especially the reference to not being lonely while alone, like I love having my own space/time❤️
This book is primarily told from the perspective of the main guy character, and I did enjoy it! I to put on sad music and look out the window and have puked in a tub (unfortunately more than once). The main guy is a comedian and all of the unfortunate things going on in his life is a real example of “when it rains it pours,” but also told through a comedic lens and one where you can empathize with him.
I also think it was a very accurate telling of how 2 sided relationships are and the different perspectives you can get by getting both of their POV’s. Life is messy & complicated and I think that was shown pretty well here. I will note that men need to do better with their friends and talking about their feelings!! The guy friend group in this made me appreciate the gals I have in my life. Also the part in not wanting to date a male artist who always seeks public validation, but doesn’t do any of the work to have a better relationship with themselves. Woof!
I may not be 35 (yet) but I am in my Saturn return and as a water sign always in my feels, even if I don’t show it lol, so this story definitely hit home in some places. I think everyone can find it relatable, especially the part of getting older and everyone around you changing. It’s ok to have met someone & still say goodbye 🫶🏻
