One of my favourite books of 2022!
Iris and Declan with the banter, unspoken looks and word play have me obsessed.
After reading book one I was interested but hesitant to start this but I'm so glad I did.
Iris is an asthmatic dyslexic black woman who came from an abusive home.
Declan grew up rich but was abused by his father, lost his mother to cancer and is fighting to not become like his father.
The only gripe I have is I felt we needed more scenes with Iris' family cause her nan seems like a hoot.
Also the relationship between Declans dad and him needed more fleshing out for me beyond random things being dropped in.
Though still a five star read because of our leads, now Cals story gots to have it ASAP
