Omg. I loved the first book, but this sequel was even MORE AMAZING. Absolute 5 star read. You get so much more in depth about Keera as a character and her history, motivations, and see even more of her badassery and pure wit. The world building in this book is some of the best I’ve read; the description of the Fae cities were freaking stunning and I felt like I was THERE. Got to see and hear more about my favorite supporting characters; Nikolai might be my favorite. Everyone is 3D, dynamic, and serve a purpose more than just being a side kick.

Diversity for the win! Even mode badass BIPOC, queer, disabled characters. They are woven into the fantasy world in a very natural way, (because diversity is natural, duh).

This book had more spice than the first book in the series, graphic but nothing obscene if that makes sense. Tasteful and well written smut, and really showed a lovely development in Riven and Keera’s relationship.

The plot, y’all. The plot had me gagged, on the edge of my seat, screaming. Not predictable or too extreme, just amazing thrilling fantasy!
