So heartbreaking, yet such an important read for anyone, especially parents of young Athletes, college students, high school etc...we are facing a totally different generation of young adults who have a tremendous amount of pressure. The perception over the reality when it comes to social media, and the mental effects it has on the human mind is such an eye opener, and can be so destructive.
Kate Fagan brought Maddy to life for me, I feel like I was living through her pain as I turned each page. I’ll never forget her, and her struggle. This story has had such a huge impact, and EVERYONE needs to read it. Maybe we can save a future Madison Holleran, or at least learn how maybe we can make a difference.
I feel the pain so deeply for Maddy’s Family, having college kids myself. It is such a hard transition, the intense pressure of getting in to college, thinking it all needs to go exactly as planned. We hope and pray they figure it out. Being a parent is tough, I can’t imagine what they are going through.
