I immediately dove into this one once I finished Haven and then quickly read it in one sitting.

Well I have to say that the emotions are kicked up into high gear with this one. A centuries old pact comes to surface that'll test Freddie and Rain's relationship. And I'll be honest, I shed some tears because I just refused to accept what was happening.

But the politics with the shifter/magic world is something that's not easy to work around. Things definitely need to change before more lives are lost.

There's a lot happening in this especially behind the scenes and with only Rain's POV, there's a lot of guessing of what happens next.

By the end, I wasn't entirely sure if there would be a next book or not. It felt pretty open-ended. Since Rain and Freddie had to go through sooo much to finally be together, I would just love more chapters of them.

Truly enjoyed this!
