This is a story of Nora who's been through a lot in her life, even though she's really young. To escape from her terrible life situation she moves on impules to Scotland, hoping to have a better life. But after few years she feels dissapointed and realizes that not everything is the way she expected it to be. And that's when she meets Aidan - a guy who, just like Nora, can't move on from some awful events from the past.

I read this book in one sitting and really liked it. For me, this is a novel with many good and likeable characters - Aidan, Seonaid, Roddy, Silvie. Even Nora - she made some weird decisions and said some stupid (and cringey) things but maybe that's what made her a realistic and nice protagonist.

There are basically three things I didn't like about this book:
1. Some scenes where a little bit cringeworthy,
2. Several times it was mentioned that Aidan is "an older man" - I know he is 12 years older than Nora but come on! He like 34 years old which mean he's still pretty young,
3. The synopsis spoiled for me half of the book - that's not really the author's fault but it's still something I really disliked.
