In Twenty Years by Allison Winn Scotch

4.0

A six point star - that's what a group of 6 Penn studnets considered themselves in 1998. As their Senior year comes to an end and they all prepare to head out into real life, their fearless leader, Bea, insists they make a time capsule and promise to return in 20 years to see where life has lead them. She makes them all promise that nothing will change and their friendship will endure.

Fast forward 18 years. Bea doesn't make it and her loss haunts them all. They all get a FedEx package from her attorney saying her will had requested they all meet at the house the lived in together at Penn on the eve of her 40th birthday (4th of July weekend). Through various chapters we get to know Owen & Catherine (who were college sweethearts and are now married), Annie (a once professional who is now a SAHM with a wandering hubby), Colin (a plastic surgeon on whom Annie pined over for years) and Lindy (the brash outspoken roommate who is now a music superstar).

We learn how their lives have been since college. The loves and losses. The hopes and dreams. Infidilities. Babies. Careers. Thoughts of Bea intermingled through it all.

Really liked this book. Although found hte ending did not resolve everything I had hoped it would. I'm hoping that means a sequel!

Thank you Netgalley & Lake House Publishing for my ARC copy. It was my pleasure to read it and give you my honest review.
