those who know me know howl's moving castle is one of my favourite movies ever, i've watched it 20 times at least, so it was about time i read the book. when you're as familiar with the movie as i am, the many differences can be off putting for some, but in my case they captivated me even more to the story. i won't lie, i was getting weary at some point that the book wouldn't have the same ending as the movie, but the last chapter was able to make me feel everything movie howl and sophie make me feel.
i loved the book, i really did. there were so many details, like the connection to Wales, that i would've loved to see in the movie but that doesn't change my opinion that the movie is perfect. i actually quite like that we have two versions of the same story that aren't exactly the same but also not quite different. i hope i get to read this book with my nieces and nephews some day.
