How to Fake it in Hollywood by Ava Wilder
emotional
5.0
From the beginning I was feeling all the feels, but they weren't overwhelming. They felt more real than the 'blasts' of feelings I've gotten from other books, where it's almost too much.
I loved seeing Ethan's character. That's it. Not his evolution or unraveling, but his realness. All the broken bits. All the self-loathing. The grief. His dwelling in a deep pit of (what probably is) depression hell.
What I loved most was that Ethan didn’t miraculously become a better person after he met Grey. It was tumultous, and I was glad to see his character arc. Not everything is as easy as some other books make it seem.
Favorite quote that I'm totally stealing for myself: "I was doing my best with the pain that I had."
