Justice League International, Vol. 1 by Keith Giffen

I tend to not enjoy D.C. as much as Marvel because there’s a sort of lumbering aspect to the comedy and how they treat the bizarre parts of their universe that doesn’t seem as sprightly as Marvel’s. But this is a joy, very funny and far more interested in character development and dialogue than it is superhero nonsense, which exists - rightly - as an excuse for character bits to happen. Possibly my favourite bit in this is Reagan’s conversation with Superman which doesn’t so much imply that the president has Alzheimer’s but all but actively says so. Incredibly cheeky and very, very funny
