Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon
4.0
Second reading: There were a bunch of errors that really annoyed me at the beginning, but it got better. I actually enjoyed this book much more the second time, whether is was simply being more familiar with the material or because I like the TV show so much. I'm actually going to continue on with the series this time!
First reading: It was ok. I gave up being annoyed at all the little errors because they were just going to drive me crazy. I was not a big fan of how/when the book started, it was very jarring, coming off of the first one. Claire still annoyed me at points throughout the book, though maybe not quite as much as in the first one. I think it should have been two books, it was so long and there was a clear break between the sections in France and Scotland. I am very undecided about whether to continue with the series, so I probably won't. I am curious what kind of shenanigans are pulled to get them back together, because obviously that happens, but there are so many other books that I want to read.
