This was surprisingly a pleasant read, I really liked it. Jake had his diva moments, but I liked how Miranda didn't take any of his bullshit. I thought it was adorable how he has pre-game rituals/superstitions. I do appreciate the how they took their time in developing a friendship instead of jumping right into a relationship. Patience is always a virtue and I admired how Jake respects her enough to wait it out. I didn't care much about Jake's personal demons, I just thought that all that bitterness and regret was unnecessarily prolonged. Also, I'm a little disappointed Miranda never owned up to ruining Jake's white dress shirt! I would have liked to see Jake's reaction to that. LOL. Overall, I like it a lot and would definitely read more of the author's work!
