My first read of March and already a 5-star read!! My gosh, I cant stop thinking about the characters and the premise of the book. I dont know yet if it will be trilogy or a duology but I cant wait to read the next book :)
Here's what I loved about the book:
1. Breaks a lot of typical YA tropes with its brand new magical concept, storyline and characters
2. Realistic relationships - Phalue and Ramami (hearts!)
3. LGBTQIA rep like never read before. What would a world be like where you could openly love and wed the one you want to be with
4. Mixing sci-fi and fantasy in a single story - brilliant!
5. Relevant and a very relatable commentary on political structure and why its important to act and how even one life saved makes such a difference
6. Mot adorable animal/fantastical creature/friend ever!!! Mephi!! you are good! very good :D
