Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult
4.0

Here's another white woman loving a story about racism written by a white woman. Honestly, I loved the book, but felt sheepish about Picoult taking on this subject at this particular time, and boldly writing from the African American perspective. Once I read her comments at the end, it made more sense. It's a fantastic book...riveting and revealing and spot on when it comes to white guilt and how even the most well meaning of us try to claim we don't see color, and dare to think we understand the African American plight in our society.
