God this book is fucking phenomenal. Very life-affirming, very emotional, very devastating, very beautiful. It ripped out my heart and broke me and then put me back together. I love it.
Graphic: Car accident, Vomit, Xenophobia, Chronic illness, Death, Injury/Injury detail, Medical trauma, Mental illness, Murder, Panic attacks/disorders, Violence, Hate crime, Homophobia, Death of parent, Grief, Gun violence, and Medical content
Moderate: Misogyny, Pregnancy, Racism, and Racial slurs
Minor: Abortion, Antisemitism, Cancer, and Toxic friendship
Only adding the 'toxic friendship' tag because Sam and Sadie hurt each other a lot, mostly because of miscommunication and misconstruing the other's intentions, but they love each other a lot and are each other's most important person in the world so it's complicated, really.
