I knew this would be an encyclopedia for the Shadowhunter’s world when I started it. To be honest, I didn’t read through the whole thing. I skimmed through most parts. My favourite parts were the messages from each character, Clary, Simon and Jace. They leave notes for each other every couple pages. I also liked pages 153-161, they show all the different runes and what they mean. I found that interesting! On page 200, there is a map of Idris, showing Lake Lyn and Alicante. At the end of the book, Clary did some sketches of her friends. Overall, it’s interesting if you like reading an encyclopedia type book haha
