Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo

5.0

Holy crap, Leigh Bardugo is well on her way to becoming my favourite author. The way she builds a story, the way the plots unfold, the way she develops relationships between her characters.

This book should come with many trigger warnings. I mean, it is dark. There are references to grooming, sexual assault, substance abuse, etc. It's Bardugo's first 'adult' book, and her YA is dark enough as it is, so it's no surprise. But it is incredible. I'm already frantically googling to see when the sequel will come out.
