beautiful use of words. futuristic utopian (ie, dystopian but the main character and most of those around her are under the illusion that everything is great. It's NOT.). Throughout the story, i kept finding myself thinking "how much of what we do is controlled by our quiet and almost subconscious fear of government retribution?" the populace is very restrained and obedient (like sheep, i first thought), but aren't we kind of like that, too?
There is too much depth to this world to not have a sequel follow this story. there's a bit of romance, mostly intellectual and emotional, built on mutual rebellion against a repressive and very dangerous regime.
