The Places I've Cried in Public
by Holly Bourne
when i first started reading it, i didn't think it was going to be good but holy frickin crap, it was. it would be a lie if i say this book wasnt toxic but im glad i waited and didn't dnf it or anything. i love the message of this book and it was so sad. like detrimentally sad. it takes a lot for me to feel sad about a book even if it was so supposed to be genuinely sad but this one wins. i thought it was brilliant and well written, like honestly one of her best works. im not usually into a book with music related thing in it especially if it's going to have a big impact on the book. well, since they can be really a hit or miss, but this one was perfectly done. i couldn't relate to any of it, yet i love it so i hope that's saying a lot. i've read tons of books by holly bourne but i've got to say, this one is definitely my fav along with "the yearbook". i hope holly bourne will release more books like this or the one that gives off the same vibe. i literally flew through this book whilst having a busy awakening week. that's how good it is. lowkey kinda wish this book has a sequel
