The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot

5.0

I love this series with my whole heart. Epistolary novels are one of my favourite kinds of fiction, and it's a subgenre that Cabot does so well. With each year I re-enter the mixed-up world of Mia, I once again pour over her and Lily's funny 'lists' of men and movies, delight in her secret crush of Michael, and reignite my own girl-crush on her fierce, awesome Mom. I also feel such a kinship with Tina Hakim Baba, a hopeless romantic and romance fan after my own heart. Rereading this series will never, ever stop being fun.
