Isn’t it a bit cringy that he’s walking around shirtless all the time? Like they’re in a life-or-death situation and I’m reading about how the romantic interest has a problem with shirts? Also don’t care about the “teasing” and “almost-fucking but never actually getting there” vibe. Again, they’re in a life-threatening scenario, am I supposed to believe they’re both horn dogs who’s mostly concerned with each other, and not the people trying to kill them? I’ll buy the second one to see what happens and to see if I enjoy the plot and writing more than I did with this one but if that doesn’t convince me I just don’t think I’m the target audience for these types of books 😅
