I didn't love this one as much as the first volume, but the art is still cool.
I wasn't expecting the slight romance inserted into the plot. It didn't make sense or feel necessary.
It also ends in a cliff hanger. I understand that Stella missed Eben and why she made that choice. But I wondered if Eben could be returned to life, whether he would be a regular human or a vampire and whether he would be want that if he came back as a vampire. The ending also feels contradictory to when Dane claims that the vampires can control their bloodlust. Though maybe it'll make more sense in the sequel.
